A .31 PERCUSSION REVOLVER SIGNED COLT, MODEL '1849 POCKET', serial no. 178644, WITH A HOLSTER, the first made 1860, with 4in. barrel re-signed 'ADDRESS COL SAML. COLT HARTFORD CT.', plain cylinder with traces of scene, open iron frame marked 'COLT'S PATENT', brass grip-straps (traces of silver plate) and smooth ivory grips, all matching numbers, the second probably for a Colt Lightning model
